PLAYING
Football (soccer) has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Every photo of me as a child features a ball, a different kit, and a clear love for the game. It all started with Sunday League matches with friends, and before I knew it, I had been selected to represent Portsmouth FC Academy (then in the English Premier League). The step up was challenging, and I suddenly found myself competing against some of the best academies in the country and the world.
At the age of 15, I received an offer from AFC Bournemouth, and the following season, I began my full-time journey with them. I remained involved with the first team and development squads for the next six years, during which the club achieved an incredible rise from League Two to the English Premier League. The level of competitiveness, consistency, and professionalism I experienced during this time forms the foundation of how I coach today.
My goal is to help the next generation understand what it takes to succeed and how to achieve their goals at the next level.
COACHING
Coaching has always been something I saw myself doing after soccer. I took my UEFA C license at 17 years old, knowing that later down the line, I wanted to play a role in developing players and helping them reach the next level. I’m a firm believer in paying attention to the small details within a session, whether it’s a group or individual session.
Beyond the details, I believe it's important to allow players to problem-solve, understand why they made a particular decision, and what they might do differently next time. I have seen significant growth in player IQ through implementing this approach.
CITY SOCCER
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR & TECHNICAL STAFF
Growing youth soccer in a way that goes beyond the typical youth soccer system has been our approach to changing and elevating the game in New Orleans. I encourage players of all ages to focus on improving key technical skills and the small details that make a difference. Whether through supplemental training alongside club and recreational activities or full-time participation in our program, we offer options to suit any player and any age.
Our specialized topic camps and clinics have also proven to be highly beneficial for the kids who attend, providing them with focused training that accelerates their development.
METAIRIE PARK COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL
MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER DIRECTOR
Taking on the Director of Development role at Country Day School has been a challenge I've looked forward to for quite some time. Encountering Country Day players in club and recreational soccer opened my eyes to the hidden talent within the school. This season, I'm implementing a curriculum that focuses on fundamental training and a deeper understanding of the game.
With players at various skill levels who are passionate about soccer, navigating the process to create something challenging and engaging for everyone has been a rewarding experience in advancing the sport at the school.
